Amidst the talks of ‘One Nation, One Election’ doing the rounds across the country, on Sunday, September 3, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, took to X (formerly Twitter), and uploaded a video of his own, writing, ‘My response to “One Nation, One Election”’. In the video, he can be seen saying that the policy does not make any sense for the common people of the country, as it does not benefit them in any way.

Kejriwal said, ‘I am seeing from yesterday, that the BJP has begun with another baseless issue of One Nation, One Election. How will the number of elections benefit us? Be it one election, ten elections, or twelve elections. What will the common man get from One Nation, On Election? Even if it is one nation 100 election or one nation 1000 election, what do we get?’

The Delhi CM further expressed, ‘We do not want One Nation, One Election. Keep your one election with yourself, go have a thousand elections, or hold two thousand elections, how does it make a difference for us?’

‘One Nation, One Education, One Nation, One Ilaaj, everyone should receive quality treatment, no matter whether he is poor or rich, that is when we will be benefitted. We will be benefitted when One Nation, One Education will be implemented. What do we have to do with One Nation, One Election? This is your (the BJP’s) drama.’, Kejriwal further said.

He then stated, ‘The quality of education received by a rich man’s children, like the children of Ambani and Adani, should be received by a poor farmer’s children as well. Keep your One Nation, One Election drama at your homes.’
