Telangana govt announces ‘CM breakfast scheme’ as Dusshera gift for school students

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has announced the ‘CM breakfast scheme’ for school students studying from classes 1 to 10 starting October 24 as a Dusshera festival gift.

This new scheme will cost the government an additional Rs 400 crore, officials said on Friday.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s government, which has already been a role model for the country in welfare measures, launched another innovative scheme.

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) took this decision for the welfare of the students.

As a Dusshera festival gift, CM decided to launch the ‘Chief Minister’s Breakfast Scheme’ for the students studying in government primary and high schools (from classes 1 to 10) across the state on October 24.

The main objective of the scheme is to provide good, nutritious food to the students along with quality study, government officials said.

Along with providing nutritious food to the students belonging to poor families, the government is taking steps towards increasing their concentration on their studies.

The state government will implement the breakfast scheme at Dusshera to reflect the CM’s humane approach.

As per CM KCR’s decision, the state government has issued orders in this regard.

Meanwhile, KCR has recently sent a team of IAS officers to examine the procedures of this scheme, which is being successfully implemented in Tamil Nadu.

A team of officers who studied the breakfast scheme for students submitted a report to the government.

The CM brought to the attention of Tamil Nadu that it is being implemented only in primary schools. Meanwhile, CM KCR, who thinks about students from a humanitarian perspective, decided to provide breakfast to high school students as well, without sparing the cost.
