PM Modi arrives in Kerala to attend election campaigns

Kochi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived here last night, will attend public meetings in Kunnamangalam in Thrissur and Kattakkada in Thiruvananthapuram as part of the BJP’s Lok Sabha election campaigns in Kerala on Monday.

In Kunnamangalam, the Prime Minister will campaign for NDA candidates TN Sarasu and Suresh Gopi, contesting in Alathur and Thrissur Lok Sabha constituencies, respectively.

In Kattakkada, Modi will campaign for NDA candidates V Muraleedharan and Rajeev Chandrasekhar contesting in Attaingal and Thiruvananthapurm Lok Sabha seats, respectively.

This is the Prime Minister’s seventh visit to Kerala this year in connection with various official programs and the BJP’s public functions.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will also attend public meetings in Wayanad on Monday. He will land in a helicopter at the Nilgiri Arts and Science College at 9.30 am.

The Prime Minister reached Kochi Airport from Mysuru on Sunday at 10 pm. He stayed at the Government Guest House in Ernakulam last night.

The road show will be held at Kunnamkulam in Alathur constituency at 9 am. From here, he will leave for Kattakkada in Atingal constituency. Later, he will go to Thivanelveli to attend an election campaign at 4.15 pm.

The Lok Sabha election will be held in Kerala on April 26 and in Tamil Nadu on April 19.
