Southern Command Chief visits Pangode to review Army’s operational readiness

Thiruvananthapuram: Lieutenant General AK Singh, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Southern Command, visited Pangode Military Station to review the formation’s operational readiness aligned with the transformational initiatives of the Indian Army.

During his visit, Lt Gen. AK Singh engaged in discussions with key personnel regarding operational issues, joint training initiatives, and strategies to bolster coordination between the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Emphasising the significance of cohesive action, the Army Commander stressed the importance of enhancing synergy among the tri-services to effectively address the contemporary security paradigm.

Interacting with the troops, the Army Commander commended their unwavering motivation, professionalism, and dedication to duty. He lauded the formation initiatives of synergy with other services, technological absorption, civil military connectivity, and transformational initiatives, and he complimented all soldiers for exhibiting very high standards of operational readiness.

Furthermore, Lt Gen AK Singh extended heartfelt appreciation to the veterans for their invaluable contributions to nation-building, acknowledging their enduring service and sacrifices. The Army Commander also called the Governor of Kerala and AOC-in-C, Southern Air Command, on Monday.

The visit of Lt Gen AK Singh accentuated the Indian Army’s steadfast commitment to maintaining operational readiness and fostering collaboration across military elements to safeguard the nation’s security interests.
