Police arrest 2 drug smugglers with 6.655kg Heroin & drug money

Ferozepur: Ferozepur Police on Thursday arrested two drug smugglers and recovered 6.655 Kg of Heroin and Rs 6 lakhs in drug money near the Indo-Pak border in a significant breakthrough against trans-border narcotic smuggling networks.

DGP Gaurav Yadav said on Thursday that after working on technical inputs, the CIA team of district Ferozepur has successfully conducted the operation and made the seizure.

The FIR has been registered and investigations are currently underway to establish forward and backward linkages.

The DGP said the Punjab police are committed to dismantle the drug networks and making our state drug-free.
