Shimla: Ishani Dhoulta, a young adventurer from Kathasu village in Jubbal, Himachal Pradesh, has made her state and country proud by scaling the Mount Everest, a person representing the mountaineer said on Wednesday.

Ishani began her ascent on August 29 from Lukla, a notoriously challenging starting point for Everest expeditions. Over 12 gruelling days, she endured harsh weather conditions, unpredictable terrain, and immense physical and mental strain to reach the summit. According to her, mental strength was key to overcoming the numerous obstacles she faced during the climb.

“The journey to Everest is more than just reaching the peak; it’s about self-realization and personal growth. Physical fitness is crucial, but mental toughness truly defines success,” she shared.

Her historic achievement follows in the footsteps of other Himachali mountaineers, including Dicky Dolma, the youngest woman to scale Everest in 1993, and Baljeet Kaur, the first Indian woman to climb four major peaks, including Everest, within 30 days.
