Arunachal Guv virtually participates in e-inauguration of BRO projects

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik virtually participated in the e-inauguration of 75 infrastructure projects of the Border Roads Organization (BRO) by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday.

The Defence Minister e-inaugurated three road projects, 14 bridge projects and a helipad project in Arunachal Pradesh from Sherathang – Kupup Road, Sikkim on the occasion.

The Governor, who has been emphasizing infrastructure development in the frontier state, said that all the roads, bridges and helipad projects are strategically important for the State and the country.

He said that these projects will further reinforce national security, facilitate in strengthening surface and air communications, and boost Arunachal Tourism.

The Governor, on behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh, expressed gratitude to the Central Government for the successful implementation of the vital projects in the State.

He added that these infrastructures will promote socio-economic development in the State, particularly in border areas, sustaining the Vibrant Villages Programme and assisting the State Government’s flagship ‘Seva Aapke Dwar’ initiative, where the State administration and government machinery reach out to the people at their doorsteps.
