Beirut: Lebanese Shia movement Hezbollah fired about 115 projectiles at Israel on Monday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.

“As of 23:30, approximately 115 projectiles that were fired by the Hezbollah terrorist organization have crossed from Lebanon into Israel today (Monday, October 14th),” the army said in a statement on Telegram.

Since October 1, Israel has been conducting a ground operation against Hezbollah forces in southern Lebanon and continues aerial bombardment of the neighboring country, where more than 2,000 people have already been killed, including leaders of the Shia movement, and more than a million people have become refugees. Despite losses, including in the command staff, Hezbollah is conducting ground battles and does not stop rocket attacks on Israeli territory.

The main goal of Israel’s military campaign is said to be the creation of conditions for the return of 60,000 residents of the country’s north who were evacuated due to the shelling launched by Hezbollah a year ago in support of the Palestinian movement Hamas.
