New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) that sought to replace the word ‘Hindutva’ with “Bharatiya Samvidhanatva” (or the Indian Constitution)

“We will not entertain such PILs,” the CJI-led bench told the petitioner Dr S N Kundra while refusing to permit him to argue his case.

Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dr D Y Chandrachud told the petitioner, “ CJI: No sir we will not entertain this.

When the petitioner insisted on hearing him, “ just one submission” , the CJI said, “No sir this is a complete abuse of the process.”
