Nitish announces Rs 2 lakh compensation to each Bihari labourer killed in terrorist attack

Patna: Expressing deep sorrow over the Killing of three Bihari labourers in a terrorist attack in Gandarbal of Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to the kith of each deceased.

Kumar said here on Monday that the ex-gratia amount will be given from the Chief Minister Relief Fund. The Chief Minister also directed the authorities concerned of the Labour Department and the Social Welfare Department to provide other benefits to the victims under the rules and regulations of the undergoing schemes.

The Chief Minister said that he was personally aggrieved with the incident and directed the resident commissioner of Bihar in New Delhi to co-ordinate with the Jammu and Kashmir Government and make all possible arrangements to bring the mortal remains of the deceased to Bihar.
