Jerusalem: The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said it identified three projectiles flying from Lebanon into Israel, some of which were intercepted.

Earlier, the IDF reported that air raid sirens sounded in central Israel following launches from Lebanon.

“Following the sirens that sounded in central Israel, three projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory. Some were intercepted, a fallen projectile was most likely identified in the area. Details are under examination,” the IDF wrote on Telegram.

Since October 1, Israel has been conducting a ground operation against Hezbollah forces in southern Lebanon while continuing airstrikes. Despite losses, Hezbollah has been fighting Israeli troops on the ground and launching rockets across the border. Israel says its main objective is to create conditions for the return of 60,000 residents who fled shelling in the north.
