Amritsar: In a major breakthrough, police in Punjab’s Amritsar district on Friday dismantled a cross-border terror module operated by Pakistan-based Harvinder Rinda by arresting 10 persons, including 4 main operatives, the state’s top cop said.
Six others involved in providing logistical assistance were also arrested.
The module, responsible for an attack on a police officer’s residence in Batala, was plotting a larger assault on a police establishment in that area.
DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav said on micro blogging platform X the police recovered 1 hand grenade, 3 pistols and a Chinese drone.
