Bengaluru: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat inaugurated the three-day Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) at Janaseva Vidya Kendra here on Friday.

The ABPS, the highest decision-making body of the RSS, is convening from March 21-23 to discuss organisational expansion, key national issues, and preparations for the centenary celebrations of the Sangh, which will commence from Vijaya Dashami 2025.

The meeting will be passing two key resolutions – one focusing on the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh, highlighting concerns over religious violence and proposing a structured response, and another marking RSS’ 100-year journey, underscoring its contributions and future vision.

Prominent attendees include representatives from RSS-affiliated organisations such as the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, and Vishwa Hindu Parishad. BJP national president JP Nadda is also expected to participate, with deliberations likely to include upcoming elections in Bihar and other key political developments.

A special statement will be issued to commemorate the 500th birth anniversary of Rani Abbakka, the Tuluva queen known for her resistance against Portuguese forces.

The ABPS will also discuss the ‘Panch Parivartan’ strategy, which encompasses social harmony, family values, environmental consciousness, self-reliance, and civic duties. As part of its centenary preparations, RSS has planned 95 training camps between April and June, aimed at engaging volunteers across different age groups. The last ABPS meeting was held in Nagpur in 2023.
