Washington: The US Democratic Party has published an Easter greeting, which was accompanied by archival photos of the latest Democratic presidents, with the exception of former US leader Joe Biden, Fox News reported.
On Sunday morning, the Democrats’ official account on X congratulated its subscribers on Easter, sharing photos of former presidents, and some conservative critics noted that the greeting did not mention Biden, the channel notes.
The message was accompanied by photos of former US presidents: Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter and John Kennedy. In these shots, they were captured with their families during the Easter celebration at the time they held their offices.
According to the help center of the X social network, users can only select from one to four photos to publish in one message.
Later, the party’s accounts on Facebook (banned in Russia as extremist) and Instagram (owned by Meta, whose activities are banned in Russia as extremist) published photos of Biden in the company of his wife Jill Biden and an Easter bunny. Thus, all five Democratic presidents were presented in chronological order.
The Democratic National Committee declined to comment on this situation when Fox News contacted it with a corresponding request.
As the Hill newspaper reported on April 20, representatives of the Democratic Party expressed a desire for Biden and his wife to limit their public appearances so as not to spoil the image of the party. This is due to the fact that there is a high level of discontent or indifference toward them among Democrats, the newspaper explained.
