Sanskritik Yatra Sindhu Darshan Festival Organised in Kashmir

Under the banner of Shan-e-Shafaq, a cultural event, the ‘Sanskritik Yatra Sindhu Darshan Festival’ was organized at the Indian Army’s 7, Sector 30, Rashtriya Files, in Zorawar Hall, in North Kashmir’s Pattan area. The event was put up by the North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala, Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

During the program, artists from across the country participated and promoted their state’s culture through spirited art performances. Artists from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Assam, and Jharkhand, among others, participated, along with which Kashmiri artists showcased their talents as well. Students from schools across North Kashmir participated in the event and enjoyed the colours of diversity.

Speaking with Goa Chronicle, the artists expressed immense pride in being part of the event and in having the opportunity to perform in Kashmir. They praised Kashmir’s hospitality and described it as having a peaceful and safe environment for travelling, while also encouraging people to visit Kashmir.

Some Glimpses of the Performances During the Event

Assistant Director, North Zone Cultural Centre Patiala, Arvinder Sharma stated that such programmes are very important. ‘Through these events, artists not only promote their traditional art at different levels but also showcase their talent’, he added.

The Sansritik Yatra Sindhu Darshan Festival began to be organised on June 13 and will continue till June 29. The event will be showcased at different places of Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh.

It is noteworthy that the event was held in collaboration with the J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, and the Indian Army.

In the light of the successful and smooth completion of the vibrant event sending out the message of peace and national unity, the collective efforts of the Indian Army and its personnel are worth commending, that ensured the event taking place without a difficulty. This showcases how Kashmir is a beautiful haven, where every bit is being done by the Indian Army to maintain peace and tranquillity, so that such events, upholding the spirit and culture of India as a united nation, could be held in the future as well.
