Meticulously organized by the Indian Army, in collaboration with the District Administration of Kupwara, Baramulla, and Bandipora, the North Kashmir Education Fest 2025, themed ‘Taleem Se Tarakki’, saw its successful culmination on Saturday, July 26.
This mega educational extravaganza was dedicated to shaping the future of the Valley’s youth through the transformative learning opportunities it offered. This grand event took place at Sopore’s Subhan Sports Stadium, and emerged as a dynamic and vibrant platform connecting aspiring students with prestigious educational institutions from across the nation.
This mega-event saw the participation of over 3000 spirited students, who eagerly explored an extensive spectrum of academic disciplines like science, business, engineering, humanities, arts, and social sciences, while receiving insightful, aptitude-based career counselling. Adding to its monumental impact, scholarships worth 3 crores were generously announced to empower meritorious students from economically weaker and tribal backgrounds.
More than 30 colleges participated in the fest, with career-counselling by trained psychologists from RRU, along with on-spot admissions for students. Further, free distribution of more than 400 books was done by the National Book Trust, New Delhi. The event also featured motivational talk by renowned Kashmiri speaker Majid Misgar.
The event also included the enlightening ‘Know Your Army’ campaign, offering first-hand awareness of rewarding career opportunities in the Armed Forces. A talk by the ARO, Srinagar was also a valuable part of the same.
This landmark initiative symbolized hope, progress and unity, strengthening Army-civil ties and paving the way for a self-reliant, empowered and peaceful ‘Naya Kashmir’.
