Satish Salian, Disha Salian’s father, and his lawyer, Nilesh Ojha, on Thursday, September 24, proclaimed that they were to submit ‘key evidence’ to the CBI, related to Disha’s mysterious death. As per Satish and Nilesh, the evidence is contained in a pen-drive, after the submission of which, they will also seek swift action in the case by the investigating agency.
As stated by Satish, ‘The pen-drive contains evidence against the culprits. It has videos, photographs, and call recordings. The evidence is against Aditya Thackeray, Dino Morea, Sooraj Pancholi, Rhea Chakraborty, and Parambir Singh (the erstwhile police commissioner). I am hoping that the CBI will start working and concrete action will be taken within the next 7-8 days.’
Regarding the same, Nilesh Ojha said, ‘In the FIR filed, these people are not mere suspects, they are offenders, and it is mandatory to arrest them now. The court had asked for evidence, and as that has been done in the form of the pen-drive, now, as per the Supreme Court’s judgement which states, “immediate arrest and custodial interrogation of Parambir Singh, Aditya Thackeray, and others”, the CBI has no other option than to arrest them now.’
He added, ‘Another piece of evidence is about an eyewitness named Naved Mujawar. The High Court noted in paragraph 13, sub-paragraph 4, on page 218 of the police report, that Naved is a crucial eyewitness for exposing the fraud by the police. We have provided the proof of how his statement was false, in which he had stated how Disha fell down right in front of his eyes, at 1 AM, after which he called the police. But CCTV footages hint at something else. The police could be seen at the spot at 12.30 AM itself. Naved is Aslam Sheikh’s stooge. We have requested the CBI to investigate Aslam Sheikh’s role in the same.’
In the meanwhile, Aditya Thackeray outright rejected the 500-crore defamation suit filed by Satish and Nilesh against him. Thackeray said he would not delete the posts he uploaded on X, calling the reopening of the case a ‘political move’, on the basis of which the defamation notice was filed. He mentioned he would not apologize either, and nor would he pay any compensation as he was being linked to the case without any evidence.
In his 25-page reply to the notice, carrying 69 points, he denied ‘every allegation, assertion, insinuation, interpretation, demand, and claim.’ In his reply, he repeated his former claim stating, ‘I have never met or known Disha Salian’, and added, ‘Let the official re-investigation proceed.’
