Goa crosses 500 positive COVID-19 cases

Panjim: From seven positive COVID-19 cases that showed a recovery to a sudden surge of 523 positive COVID-19 patients, Goa is slowly witnessing the brutal onslaught of the coronavirus pandemic after being declared a Green Zone state on May 3, 2020.

Goa reported 60 positive COVID-19 cases today. Taking the confirmed cases tally to 523.

The active cases are 453, while the recovered cases are 70. So far the state has not witnessed any death due to COVID-19.

Most cases have been reported in the community transmission locality of Mangor Hill, Vasco and now Chimbel close to Panjim.

Five COVID-19 positive patients were reported at ESI quarters-Margao. Two employees and three relatives of people who tested positive.
