New Delhi: Supreme court on Friday refused to interfere with the petition filed seeking direction to pass appropriate orders with respect to school fee and fee hike for online classes. The top court of the nation asked the petitioner to approach the respective High Courts for relief.

“This court is not inclined to hear. Petitioner can approach respective High Courts for relief,” a bench of the Apex Court, headed by Chief Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde stated.

PIL was filed in the SC over school fee & fee hike for online classes.

The CJI Bobde said, the problems of each state are different and the matter should have been raised before respective High Court’s

CJI Bobde while observing how a case would be tagged with a pending petition stated that petitioners these days “are invoking the jurisdiction of the court in all matters whether it be education or migrants, like an omnibus jurisdiction. When we don’t pass orders, they are sad”

Supreme Court was hearing a plea regarding seeking exemption for payment of school fees in the state of Uttarakhand.

The CJI stated some pleas are fact-intensive and purely within the executive domain.
