Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday alleged that she has detected a deliberate disinformation campaign regarding Central release of funds in MGNREGA.

Taking to X, Banerjee said, ” I detect a deliberate disinformation campaign regarding Central release of funds in MGNREGA. ”

” Despite our vigorous movements and submission of detailed factual records and accounts, the Centre has been dragging its feet and has not released any withheld fund whatsoever at all, ” she stated.

The misinformation is being spread to befool people and to spread confusion, and to malign the State Government, Banerjee maintained.

” We need, deserve, and are entitled to our rightful share. We continue to be unfairly deprived, despite leaking of false information here and there, ” she asserted.

On Wednesday,

Banerjee said, ” If the BJP-led Central Government fails to release the rightful dues of Bengal’s poor people, we’ll hold a meeting at the Netaji Indoor Stadium on 16th Nov. ”

” BJP FAILED even after employing all of its corrupt tactics to suppress the voice of Bengal. If we didn’t back down then, we won’t back down now, ” she asserted.
