Gangtok: The Asian Development World Bank is going to contribute towards Development of Power sector in Sikkim. Accordingly, their team called on the Chief Minister of Sikkim, at Minto Gang to discuss further activities.
‘I have assured full support from the State Government. I am confident that this initiative would bring substantial benefits to the area,’ said CM Tamang.
‘The Project to be sponsored by ADB will be carried out in collaboration with State Power Department,’ according to Tamang.
The observers feel it is an encouraging project in the backdrop of damage to recent 1200 Mega Watt Hydro project, Chungthang North Sikkim, due to flash floods in the beginning of October 2023.
