New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said all the three Water Treatment Plants (WTPs), which were temporarily shut down last week due to rise of water level above danger mark in Yamuna river, are made fully operational.
Earlier, Okhla and Chandrawal WTPs were started. On July 14, Kejriwal had informed that Okhla WTP was made operational because the water level had receded.
Taking to Twitter, Kejriwal wrote, “Wazirabad Water treatment plant has also started working on full capacity. Now all WTPs are working on full capacity. DJB worked very hard. Thank you DJB!”
Last week, the water level of Yamuna river had reached the 208.66 mark which crossed the previous records of water level following which roads near Red Fort, Ring Road, Civil Lines and ITO were flooded with water, and the people those who live at low-lying areas had to take refuge on roadside.
