Thiruvananthapuram: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will reach Kerala for a two-day visit in the State on Friday.
Amit Shah will be in Thiruvananthapuram to inaugurate the Inter-State Council meeting in which all the Chief Ministers from South India are expected to attend.
On his arrival at the Thiruvananthapuram international airport at 5.30 pm, BJP workers will give a rousing reception to the Union Home Minister.
On Saturday, Amit Shah will inaugurate BJP’s Convention of Scheduled Caste at Alsaj Convention Centre, Kazhakootam.
In view of the Inter-State Council meeting in Kovalam, strict traffic restrictions will be imposed in nearby places, sources said.
Though Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan invited Amit Shah to attend the annual Nehru Trophy Boat Race in Alappuzha, the programe did not include in his two-day busy schedule due to security reasons.
