On Wednesday, at 10.42 AM in Rajasthan’s Jaipur, resident Abdul Azeez got Anjali Verma, the wife of his younger brother, Abdul Lateef, attacked. Anjali was shot in her back, after which an injured Anjali was admitted to Jaipur’s SMS hospital, and her condition is critical. Anjali and Lateef had gotten married in July last year, with which Azeez was not happy.

The police have nabbed culprit Abdul Azeez, the middleman, and the shooter. One more is absconding. Additional DCP, Ram Singh Shekhawat has stated that a bangle-maker, Muhammad Raja aka Raju, presenting money as reward, made Bihar residents Kaleem and Abid shoot Anjali. The team of CP Pramod Swami and Inspector Hawa Singh Yadav caught Azeez, Raju, and Kaleem late at night and recovered the weapon used and a scooter. Abid is absconding.

Lateef works in a private company and was already married prior to getting married to Anjali, he had then left his first wife, and they had to give 25 lakh rupees to her because of the same. This amount was given by Azeez, and therefore, the two brothers kept on fighting constantly. Distressed by Lateef’s love marriage and the cases registered against him, Azeez paid 2 lakh rupees to bangle-maker Muhammad Raja to get Anjali killed, but the shooter shot her in the back, and Anjali’s life was saved. The scooter and weapon both belonged to Kaleem.
