Assam government treads towards appointment in 1 lakh government posts

On Thursday, 25th May, the Assam government led by CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, took a crucial step towards the appointment of candidates in 1 lakh government posts. Celebrating two years of governance in Assam, the BJP regime is steadily delivering on its promise made earlier, of appointing 1 lakh people in government posts.

The ceremonial distribution of appointment letters to approximately 45 thousand successful candidates was done at the Veterinary College ground, Khanapura, Guwahati, by the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah. The ceremony will also see the presence of Assam CM, Himanta Biswa Sarma. After the successful appointment of 41, 920 candidates, and with the ongoing process of appointing approximately 45, 000 candidates, the total appointment will stand at 86, 000. And the remaining recruitments to reach the 1 lakh-mark are to be completed soon.

The recruitments have been made in Class III posts (excluding Divyang), Class IV posts (excluding Divyang), the police department, the health department, the education department, the social justice and empowerment department, the sports and youth welfare department, and the agriculture department. Divyang candidates, who have been declared eligible by the Medical Examination Committee have also been recruited for government posts.
