Bihar CM distributes appointment letters to 59k 28 special teachers

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar distributed appointment letters to 59 thousand 28 special teachers including 55 thousand 845 primary teachers, 2532 secondary teachers and 651 higher secondary teachers.

While distributing the appointment letters as a token to some of the newly appointed teachers here on Saturday, Kumar said that his government took several steps for improving the educational scenario after coming to power in the state.

He said that 3 lakh 68 thousand contractual teachers have been appointed through Panchayat and Civic bodies since 2006-07.

However after 2023 the appointment of teachers was being made through Bihar Public Service Commission and 28000 contractual teachers too have become government teachers after qualifying the examination.

In the second phase of the state eligibility test 2 lakh 53 thousand and 961 contractual teachers qualified and now only 86000 were left who would also qualify the examination.

The Chief Minister said that a total number of 4 lakh 71 thousand and 233 aspirants qualified as government teachers.

Reiterating his commitments for overall development of every section of the society including women, Kumar asked the newly appointed teachers to contribute in the educational and personality development of the students.

The Chief Minister also asked the education minister to regularly monitor the teaching activities and ensure to solve the issues obstructing the teaching within the state.
