Bengaluru: The Election Commission revealed on Friday that a case has been registered against BJP candidate Dr. K Sudhakar for alleged bribery and undue influence on voters. The seizure of Rs 4.8 crore in cash was also reported.
The action was initiated by the Flying Squads Team (FST) of Chikkaballapura, according to official sources.
In a statement issued by Karnataka’s Chief Electoral Officer, it was disclosed that the FST of Chikkaballapura intercepted and seized the aforementioned cash sum.
Furthermore, an FIR has been lodged by the state surveillance team of Chikkaballapura Constituency against Sudhakar on April 25 at the Madanayakanahally police station.
