BJP releases manifesto for Gujarat 2022 elections

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its manifesto on Saturday for the upcoming Gujarat elections. In its manifesto called the ‘Sankalp Patra’, the party has made 40 promises including giving employment to 20 lakh people in 5 years. Along with this, it has been promised to create 4 Gujarat institutes of technology on the lines of the IITs, and to provide free education to girls till graduation. The manifesto was released in the presence of BJP President JP Nadda, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, and State President CR Patil.

Patil said that in order to create the Sankalp Patra, the suggestions of 1 crore people of Gujarat have been taken into consideration, and a WhatsApp number was issued for the same. Apart from this, suggestions were taken by going among the people. On the other hand, the Congress, in its manifesto has promised to provide 10 lakh jobs, dissolving of the debts of farmers, and to provide free electricity up to 300 units per month.

Among the most prominent of the BJP’s promises, the creation of an anti-radicalization cell in order to spot probable dangers and sleeper cells of terrorist organizations and anti-India forces. Other promises include the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, 1 lakh jobs to women, and the commencement of 100 Annapurna canteens all over the state, where food will be available for 5 rupees.

Also, the 100% target of the Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana will be completed to provide pucca houses to each citizen of the state, the mission to host the 2036 Olympics will also begin, for which international-level architecture will be made, an allocation of 25 thousand crores will be made to expand the current network of the irrigation projects, 8 medical and 10 nursing/para-medical colleges will be established in the scheduled tribe areas.

Free bus rides will be provided to senior female citizens, 3 civil Medi-city and 2 AIIMS like institutes will be established in the state, and 20 thousand government schools will be turned into excellent schools with a budget allocation of 10 thousand crore rupees.
