Chennai: The BJP on Saturday staged black flag protests across the State against the delimitation meeting convened by the ruling DMK by inviting Chief Minister and represenatives from non-BJP ruled states.

BJP Tamil Nadu Unit President K Annamalai, clad in black shirt, along with party cadres,
staged the protest in front of his house on the city outskirts.

Talking to reporters, he said the delimitation meeting was a mega drama staged by the DMK government as the Centre has already assured that there would be no reduction in the number of Lok Sabha seats.

He also accused Chief Minister M K Stalin of foregoing the state’s rights on key issues to the neighbouring states, including the Mekedatu dam project involving Krnataka, while welcoming them for the meeting.

He said similar black flag protests were being held across the state by the BJP cadres.
