Brahmotsavam : Goddess Pamavathi Devi takes colourful ride on wooden chariot

Tirupati: Goddess Sri Padmavathi Devi seated inside the wooden chariot in Her complete elegance and royalty was taken for a colourful ride along the Mada streets amidst the accompaniment of Vedic hymns, Mangala vaidyams, performances by various artists on the penultimate day of the annual brahmotsavam at Tiruchanoor on Sunday.

The grand procession of the mammoth wooden chariot was held at Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru temple near here.

The chariot was pulled all along enthusiastically by devotees and every inch of Mada street is occupied by devotees.

Chandragiri MLA and TTD Board member Dr Bhaskar Reddy, Joint Executive officer Veerabrahmam, Chief Engineer Nageswara Rao, Deputy Executive Officer Lokanatham and others were present.
