BSF scuttles Pakistani drones off Punjab outpost

Gurdaspur: Border Security Force personnel were successfully able to avert the entry of Pakistani drones to the Indian side.

Troopers of 73 Battalion of BSF at Shahpur border outpost saw the drones approaching from the Pakistan side and started firing forcing it to return back.

DIG Prabhakar Joshi of BSF Gurdaspur Sector said: “At around 11.15 pm, when the soldiers heard the sound of the drone, they fired 10 rounds.

“Due to which the drone went back to Pakistan.”

He said that a search operation was being conducted in the area to check if the drone has dropped any “object” that can be recovered.
