Covid-19: Maharashtra records 993 fresh cases and 5 more deaths

Mumbai: During the past 24 hours 993 fresh cases of Covid-19 and five more virus related deaths were reported across in the state, according to the health bulletin on Saturday.

With the addition of these new cases the cumulative total of Covid cases the state moves up to 81,60,499 and death toll climbed to 1,48,497.

Out of 1100 positive cases, Mumbai recorded 226 infections.

Mumbai and Pune recorded two deaths each while the fifth fatality was in Nagpur.

At present 5970 patients are being treated in the state, added the health bulletin.
