Chennai: The ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday re-appointed MLA Udhayanidhi Stalin–son of Party President and Chief Minister M.K.Stalin–as the Young Wing Secretary of the party.
This was announced by DMK General Secretary and Water Resources Minister Duraimurugan in a statement here.
Udhayanidhi was elected to the State Legislative Assembly for the first time from Chepauk-Tiruvallikeni constituency in the city in the May 2021 Assembly elections in which the DMK returned to power with a big majority after a gap of ten years.
The Party also appointment of nine deputy secretaries for the youth wing.
Duraimurugan also announced that Vijaya Thaianban has been appointed as the Women’s Wing Secretary of the party, a post held by DMK Lok Sabha MP Kanimozhi, who was elevated as the Deputy General Secretary.
Helen Davidson will be Vijaya’s deputy for this post. Duraimurugan also appointment of various posts in the Women’s wing.
