New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday spoke to Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on the counter terrorist operation in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, in which four soldiers were martyred.
Four soldiers, including an officer, were martyred in the Doda encounter. Five Army soldiers, including the officer, were seriously injured and later succumbed to their injuries. The deceased soldiers are: Captain Brijesh Thapa, Naik D Rajesh, Sepoy Bijendra and Sepoy Ajay.
The Defence Minister’s office said that the Army Chief informed the Defence Minister about the ground situation and the encounter.
He also informed the minister about the anti-terrorism operations being conducted in the Union Territory.
