Gaborone: The newly elected president, Duma Boko, was officially sworn in as the 6th President of Botswana by Chief Justice Terrence Rannowane at the High Court.

When delivering his presidential acceptance speech on Botswana Television after the inauguration, Boko highlighted the importance of taking oath without delay, saying that any delay would leave the country without a leader.

He promised to hit the ground running in exploring ways to diversify the southern African country’s economy that solely relies on diamond sales.
