EAM meets US NSA Jake Sullivan, discusses progress in bilateral ties

Washington/New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who is in the US, met the US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan during which the two discussed the progress of the bilateral strategic partnership as well as regional and global developments.

In a post on X, the EAM posted:

“Good to meet US NSA @JakeSullivan46 in Washington D.C. this morning.

“A wide-ranging discussion on the progress of India-US strategic partnership. Also exchanged views on current regional and global developments.”

The EAM is in the US on a six-day visit to meet with senior US officials. His visit also comes ahead of the inauguration of Donald Trump as president of the US for the second term.

The meeting with the current US NSA Sullivan would be the last as a new team will be taking over under the Trump administration.
