Patna: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday conducted raids at the locations of 15 close associates of RJD chief Lalu Prasad in connection with “Land for Job” scam during the tenure of Prasad as Railway Minister in Congress-led UPA government at the Centre.

Official sources said here that ED teams conducted raids at 15 locations based in Patna, Mumbai and Noida including at the residence of former RJD MLA Abu Dozana and other close associates of Lalu.

According to reports, ED teams also visited the residences of Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav and his sisters Hema, Ragini, and Chanda in Delhi.

As it is, CBI has been investigating the charges of “Land for Job” scam against Lalu during his tenure as Railway Minister.

It has been alleged that Lalu appointed several persons in group D services of Railways, instead of receiving plots from them when he was Railway Minister.

CBI has already filed FIR against 16 accused in the case including Lalu, his wife Rabri Devi and two daughters. Of them, chargesheets were filed against 14 of them.

Summons have already been issued against Lalu, Rabri and daughter Misa Bharti to appear before the CBI court in New Delhi on March 15 in this connection.

CBI team had earlier quizzed Rabri Devi at her ten circular road residence in Patna on March 6 in this connection while Lalu was quizzed at the residence of his daughter Misa Bharti in New Delhi on March 7.
