Elections for Congress prez held in Goa

Panaji: Elections for the All India Congress Committee (AICC) President are being held across the country on Monday.

Goa Congress President Amit Patkar was among those who cast their votes in the morning here. The polling is being held at the party state headquarters in the city.

According to a party leader, 50 per cent of the voters had cast their votes till 11 am. There were total 31 votes in the coastal state.

After casting the vote, Patkar tweeted,” Great feeling to cast my vote as Delegate of @INCGoa from Curchorem Constituency for the elections of President of @INCIndia. I am sure that the Congress Party will emerge stronger under the new National President across India. “
