Employment increases manifold in Bengal : Mamata

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday said employmenthas increased manifold in the state, while poverty is on the wane.

She said, ” 12 lakh jobs have been created in the state. Scholarships are given to everyone irrespective of caste-religion, Hindu-Muslim. The state’s GDP has increased during the Corona period. The state government’s Duare Sarkar scheme received center award. ”

The first meeting of this year’s G-20 summit began on Monday here at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre which was inaugurated by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

The meeting will continue for 3 days, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

According to sources, the main topic of the 3-day meeting is Digital Financial System.
Besides, Banerjee gave a message of unity from the G-20 meeting.

She said, ‘Unity is our main mantra. Development of people is essential. ”

The Chief Minister also called upon everyone to work together for the sake of development above politics.

The main objective of this G20 meeting is to bring marginalized people into the banking system and increase their personal and national income.

According to sources, apart from G-20 member countries, representatives of European Union member countries, Asian Development Bank, World Bank, NABARD, and IMF will attend the meeting.

India will preside over this year’s G20 conference. This meeting is going to be held for the first time in Kolkata. So the city is ready to welcome the guests from the country and abroad.

According to Nabanna sources, after the first day’s meeting on Monday, a dinner cruise has been arranged for the guests on the Ganga Bakhsh. A cultural programme will follow the dinner on Tuesday at Palkutir in Newtown.

On Wednesday, January 11, guests will tour the Victoria Memorial. There will be an opportunity for them to enjoy street food.
