Chandigarh: The meeting of the farmers’ leaders with the Central Government Ministers was inconclusive, after which the farmers left for Delhi on Tuesday.

Farmers tried to break the barricade at the Shambhu border, after which the Haryana police fired tear gas shells and a stampede broke out among the people.

The purpose of the Farmers’ March to Delhi is to implement the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission, apart from the legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP), Pension for farmers and farm workers, waiver of Farm Loans, police withdrawal of registered cases, relief to Lakhimpuri victims, etc.

The farmers are demanding ‘Justice’, reinstatement of the Land Acquisition Act 2013, and compensation for the families of farmers killed during the previous Kissan Bills Agitation.
