As the West Bengal assembly elections witnessed their first phase of voting on Saturday, March 27, 2021, some fervent revelations were done by the BJP against the TMC supremo and sitting CM of Bengal Mamata Banerjee on trying to win over the BJP Neta Pralay Pal through a phone call!
BJP on Saturday morning released an audiotape alleging TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee convincing Pralay Pal the BJP district Vice President to join TMC again and work for the party he was once a part of in the past.
The alleged audio tape leads Mamata Banerjee convincing the BJP Neta to promote TMC in Nandigram as against Suvendu Adhikari for Mamata Banerjee.
It says that Pralay Pal should leave the party he is at the moment associated with and should come forward and shake hands with Trinamool once again.
The BJP Neta is continually seen dismissing many offers of Mamata Banerjee and is seen saying that he cannot deceive the party as the party has put their faith in him and he always was indebted to Suvendu Adhikari and the Adhikari family as in the past when he and his family were attacked many times by the CPM government in power, only they (Shishir and Suvendu Adhikari) stood for them when no one else asked. Notably, Pralay Pal left TMC as the party he worked for with his blood did not put that faith in him and despite being a prominent member of TMC, the TMC government denied him the residence certificate.
The purported audiotape also disclosed Mamata saying that she will now stand for them and that he should betray the party and rejoin TMC. The BJP person is seen refusing her continuous offers and emphasized being loyal to the Adhikari family and the party he is standing with at the moment.
Notably, BJP IT cell head Amit Malaviya took this matter to his Twitter profile saying that it is unbelievable seeing Mamata Banerjee calling Pralay Pal the district Vice President of BJP pleading for help in Nandigram. Pralay says that he and his family cannot betray the party and that he was humiliated in TMC when he worked for them.
While BJP is seen storming the alleged audiotape on social media platforms, TMC to counter alleged ‘unpardonable’ EVM glitch again. On Saturday, TMC alleged that voters Kanthi Dakshin displayed BJP’s logo in the VVPAT machine and that the EVM was hacked to roll down the votes of TMC in the courts of BJP. TMC asked the Election Commission to scrutinize the shocking claims made by them. Reacting to TMC’s alleged claim, BJP Bengal President Dilip Ghosh said, “TMC knows it is losing and that’s why it is saying all this. For such complaints, TMC should go to the Election Commission. TMC and Mamata Banerjee are under pressure and that is why they are saying such things.”
Notably, the Nandigram seat of East Medinipur is contested by its too old and experienced player Suvendu Adhikari who rolled down to BJP a few months back during the elections, and the other player to be the TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee herself.
On Saturday, the first phase of elections was contested between the running Government. TMC, a strong emerging party BJP and the left including an alliance of Congress and ISF in the constituencies of Bankura, Purulia, Jhargram, West Medinipur, and East Medinipur with 191 candidates including 21 women candidates in the poll clash.
