Kolkata: The four-member fact-finding committee of BJP MPs, formed by Party National President J P Nadda, was on Wednesday visiting the violence-affected areas, where several people were killed in Panchayat election-related violence.

The committee will submit its report to the Party National President.

The members of the panel were Ravishankar Prasad, Satyapal Singh, Rajdeep Roy and Rekha Verma.

Prasad commented, ” It is very unfortunate that so many people have been killed in Panchayat election-related violence. It is bad for democracy too.”

” We will get out of Kolkata for rural Bengal, including North Bengal, to meet the people as well as the victims’ family members. We will take stock of the ground reality and report to Nadda ji,” Prasad added.
