Georgia grand jury indicts Trump on 13 charges in election interference case

Washington: A Fulton County grand jury in the state of Georgia indicted former President Donald Trump with 13 criminal charges related to an investigation alleging he attempted to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, a court document revealed.

Several of the charges Trump faces include violation of the Georgia RICO Act, solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer, false statements and writings, forgery, impersonating a public officer, among others.

Eighteen other associates were also charged in the indictment, including Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani and former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows.
