After iPhones, Google’s Pixel phones can also be manufactured in India now. Google CEO, Sundar Pichai is all set to visit India this month, and during his visit, the Centre will discuss the same with him. Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that a number of topics will be discussed in the meeting with Pichai, out of which the most important topic will be the commencement of the manufacturing of the Pixel phones in India. Along with which, talks will be held regarding developing an app developer ecosystem, cyber security, and the use of Indian languages.

As per sources, Google can become the third largest mobile manufacturer to use India as an export-oriented manufacturing hub. Currently, Apple Inc. and Samsung India are manufacturing their phones in the country.

According to a recent report from the New York Times, Google is planning to shift half of the production of their Pixel 7 phones to Vietnam from South China.
