Doha: The Gulf Arab countries told Iran that they intend to remain neutral amid the conflict between Iran and Israel, media reports said on Thursday.

Officials from the Gulf Arab states discussed de-escalation with Iran during meetings in Qatar, the report said, citing two sources.

On Tuesday, Iran launched nearly 200 missiles at Israel, amid escalating hostilities between Israel and the Lebanese movement Hezbollah.

Israel and the United States have promised consequences against Iran for the missile attack, while Iran has vowed to target the interests of Israel-supporting countries in the region if they intervene.
