New Delhi: The road to power, a heart-warming friendship and the charm of the 60s, Disney+ Hostar’s upcoming power-packed series, Sultan Of Delhi has it all.

Based on the book, ‘Sultan of Delhi: Ascension’ by Arnab Ray, the series is produced by Reliance Entertainment and Directed by Milan Luthria and Co-Directed and Co-written by Suparn Verma.

Reimagining the charm of old India and creating a visual spectacle on-screen, Milan Luthria marks his OTT directorial debut with this larger than life mass entertainer, ‘Sultan Of Delhi” which is all set to release on October 13, 2023. The series stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anjumm Shharma, veteran actor Vinay Pathak alongside Nishant Dahiya and the ladies Anupriya Goenka, Mouni Roy, Harleen Sethi and Mehreen Pirzada, making for a perfect ensemble cast.

Playing the role of Sanjana in Sultan of Delhi really struck a chord with Mehreen Pirzada and stayed with her way beyond the shoot. Opening up about her character, Mehreen Pirzada spoke about her character and how she and Milan Luthria approached it.

Talking about the same Mehreen Pirzada said, “Sanjana is a character which is very close to my heart. It is surely one of my favourite characters I have played so far. She is a very sweet and innocent girl who falls in love and gives her all to this one guy but soon enough she feels like she has been betrayed. I believe that there is a lot of arc in her character and shades which she has to go through. It was very challenging but all thanks to Milan sir from the look to the dialogues and everything, he knew exactly what he wanted Sanjana to look like. I really enjoyed playing Sanjana”.

Sultan of Delhi is set to stream, October 13, 2023 onwards, exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar.
