In US Stalin secures Rs 2000 cr investment from Trillant, holds talks with Nike, Optum

Chennai: On an official visit to theUS to secure investments, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin secured a Rs 2,000 crore MoU with Trillant to set up its Development and Global Support Centre in the State at Chicago on his second leg of his visit.

In a social media post, Mr Stalin said he had productive talks with global footwear brand Nike on expanding its production in the state.

He also held talks with Optum to build the talent pipeline for the healthcare sector and requested it to consider expanding its operations in Trichy and Madurai.

“Exciting developments in Chicago!”, he wrote in X.

“Secured a Rs 2000 crore MoU with Trilliant to establish a manufacturing unit as well as their Development & Global Support Centre in Tamil Nadu.Thanks to Trilliant for this valuable partnership!”, he said.

“Had productive talks with Nike on expanding its footwear production and the potential for a product creation/design centre in Chennai., Mr Stalin posted.

“Also engaged with Optum, which already employs 5,000 people in Tamil Nadu and plans to build the talent pipeline for the healthcare sector. Requested them to consider expanding their operations in Trichy and Madurai, he added.

“Momentum is strong!”, Mr Stalin said.
