New Delhi: India recorded 3,011 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total active cases to 36,126 as per the Health Ministry data on Monday.
As many as 8 fresh fatalities were reported, taking the toll to 5,28,701
A total of 4,301 patients recovered, taking total recoveries to 4,40,32,671.
The active cases comprise 0.08 per cent of the total infections, whereas the national recovery rate stood at 98.73 per cent.
According to the bulletin, 89.57 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 1,34,849 tests have been conducted.
“India has administered 218.77 crore doses (94.87 crore second dose and 21.41 crore precaution dose) of Covid-19 vaccine, so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive,” Ministry data said.
