India logs 4,043 new Covid cases

New Delhi: India has registered 4,043 new Covid-19 cases, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday.

According to the bulletin issued by the Health Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,45,43,089 while the death toll rose to 5,28,370 as 15 more succumbed to the disease.

Total 4,676 people recuperated from the disease, taking the recovery to 4,39,67,340. The recovery rate stands at 98.71 per cent.

The active caseload stands at 47,379, the figures showed.

As per the bulletin, 89.20 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 216.83 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
