India records 11,692 Covid cases with 19 deaths in 24 hours

New Delhi: India recorded 11,692 fresh cases of Covid -19 during the last 24 hours as per the latest update by the Ministry of health and Family Welfare on Friday.

With the addition of these cases the active caseload stood at 66,170 which is 0.15 per cent of the total cases as per the Health Ministry.

The death toll has risen to 531,258 with 19 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours from various parts of the country.

As many as 10,780 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours. The total number of people who have recuperated from the disease is 4.42 crore (4,42,72,256)

The Covid-19 recovery rate stood at 98.67 per cent whereas the fatality rate was recorded at 1.18 per cent.

Meanwhile, the daily positivity rate was recorded at 5.09 per cent while the weekly positivity rate was pegged at 5.33 per cent.

The Ministry said, 3,647 vaccine doses of Covid have been administered during the last 24 hours under the nationwide vaccination drive.

Around 220.66 cr Total Vaccine doses (95.21 cr Second Dose and 22.87 cr Precaution Dose) have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive said the Ministry.

Meanwhile, 92.48 cr Total Tests conducted so far; 2,30,419 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, as per Ministry data.

On Wednesday logged 1603 Covid-19 cases, taking the active cases to 6120 as per the city Health Department.

The positivity rate jumped to 26.75 per cent, according to data shared by the health department.
